King Parrot

King Parrot’s new offering 'Dead Set' lays waste to the senses with high-octane grind, thrashing riffs, pummelling beats and punk rock mayhem. Produced by the legendary Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual) at Nodferatu’s Lair studio in Louisiana, ‘Dead Set’ is a relentless aural assault proving that somehow the band show no signs of wear and tear following a brutal touring schedule through Asia, North America, Europe and Australia since their inception in 2011.

Leading off with the hilarious ‘Like a Rat’ video filmed at Anselmo’s ranch during the recording process, and the creeping ‘Home Is Where The Gutter Is’ video filmed by long time video producer for the band Dan Farmer, Dead Set is a more mature but equally as brutal record to its predecessor. Growth and solidarity is something the band have focused on in the last 12 months, and the results from ‘Dead Set’ are a testament to the bands commitment.

A huge Australian tour to launch the new record with sold out shows in capital cities around the country has cemented King Parrot’s name as one of the top handful of Australian extreme metal bands. Their hell-raising live show, full of energy, ferocity and hilarity, confronts and entertains audiences alike. Drawing influence primarily from the thrash, grind, hardcore and punk scenes of the 80’s and 90’s, a new sound has been created fusing those styles and attitudes with a fresh approach that encapsulates their aggression, humour and intensity seamlessly. Catch King Parrot touring worldwide throughout 2015 and 2016.
